20 miles to a muffin

A busy weekend ahead of me meant I rearranged my long run for Friday (today) this week. No time to find any serious hills, and I thought I’d just check my pace on the flat, so I headed out on a well-trodden route out to Appleton by road and back along the river (see route map below). Managed to finish it all in three hours, bang on schedule, and didn’t feel as knackered as with my last 20 miler, so I’m encouraged. I somehow thought I’d get a good day’s work in today after that, but things are already slowing down . . . I think . . . I’ll just have a . . . little nap . . . mmmm, wake me up at the end of the blog.
