Part of the RUN piece on Sunday (METRON Day Four) will include audio from the Oxford Town and Gown 10k race, held this Sunday at 10am. So, if you want to get your footsteps included in the artwork, look for the guy dangling a microphone between his legs during the race. I’ll be aiming for a modest time of 45 minutes or so. Then come along to METRON from around 2pm onwards.

Argh, it must be psychosomatic – I’ve got a gunky throat just days before the race ! I’ll still be there, plodding around with the microphone, but that’s what comes of exposing yourself to the general public, they give you the lurgy(?).
I plan to be there to support Alun and all the other runners on Sunday. i am in gentle training for the Race for Life for Cancer Research UK on June 3rd which is only 5k but still represents a challenge to me as i recover from a knee injury last year and months of physio. i am now benefiting from the incredibly ugly but incredibly wonderful MBT shoes which mean i can train on tarmac and lessen greatly the impact on my joints. in fact the road now feels like a springy meadow which i hope will mean the damage to my knees is arrested and i can enjoy running and listening to music for a good few years yet !
